THE STORY BEHIND THE SETTING OF WHERE AEGIS RISING TAKES PLACE

Call it fate or call it whatever you want, but the story behind this setting doesn’t begin with me—it begins with my dad. My dad was an eighteen-year-old mariner from Malaysia who, in the early eighties, first laid eyes on the awe-inspiring landscape of coastal British Columbia and fell in love with it. He made a vow back then that this was where he would raise his family. About twenty years later, when I was six, we moved to Canada and I fell in love with the country as my dad did all those years ago. Its sceneries provides beauty, inspiration, peace and spurs my imagination. It also has the perfect setting for mystery and intrigue that gives life to the novel.
